About Us

Through our services, we are able to defend and empower those who experience poverty and isolation in the community through lack of access to goods and services, equipment and Personal assistants. Our clients are primarily disabled people, their families and those who care for them.

The DisCASS team, who can show empathy towards the community, have developed a professional and expert service. Our effectiveness lies in our ability to provide a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, where people of all age groups can feel at ease and speak freely about matters which concern them.

DisCASS also adopts a campaigning role and takes an active part on many local committees, strengthening the voice of disabled people.

Through our bureau of volunteers we offer a range of services that include:

• Free advice and disability information
• Help with benefit claims & forms
• Advocacy & support
• Disability awareness training
• Access audits
• Wheelchair hire
• Photocopying @ 10p per sheet or 15p for double-sided
• Second-hand equipment
